Appetizer, Snack
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 16
Ingredients:
9 oz oyster crackers
1/3 cup canola oil
2 tablespoons Spice Krewe Bayou Burn
(more or less as desired)
Instructions:
Place oyster crackers in a gallon zip lock bag. (or plastic container with a lid)
Mix oil and seasonings in a small bowl or measuring cup.
1/3 cup canola oil, 2 tablespoons Spice Krewe Bayou Burn
Pour seasoning mixture evenly over the crackers and gently mix to coat.
Shake every 5 minutes or so until crackers are coated and no oil settles in the bottom of the bag.
Notes:
- Spice Level – 2 tablespoons of Spice Krewe Bayou Burn adds just enough spicy. But add more or less to your preference.
- You can substitute mini saltine crackers. Or use regular saltine crackers but because they are denser and larger than oyster crackers they will require a little bit more oil let them rest in the bag for a couple of hours.
- Make Ahead – These tasty seasoned oyster crackers taste better the next day. So go ahead and make them a few days ahead of an event.
- Storing – Place the seasoned crackers in an air-tight container and keep them at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
